Editorial Standards

Health Atlas exists to make everyday wellness decisions easier to understand. We aim to be useful before promotional, transparent before persuasive, and clear about the limits of what an educational website can provide.

How we create health content

We start with the reader’s question and organize information around context, options, practical questions, limitations, and when professional care may be appropriate. For health topics, we prioritize publicly available information from recognized medical institutions, government health agencies, and professional organizations when relevant.

We do not present this site as a clinic, and we do not claim that our articles replace individualized advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Sources, updates, and uncertainty

Where a factual health statement benefits from support, we link to an appropriate source. Information changes, and individual circumstances differ, so articles may be reviewed and updated as new or better information becomes available. A source link does not mean Health Atlas or the source endorses every product mentioned elsewhere on the site.

How we review products

A product can be considered only when we can identify its intended audience, price, seller, refund policy, support information, relevant limitations, and the nature of the claims being made. We do not imply personal testing when we have not personally tested a product. We do not call a product a cure, guarantee a result, or position it as a substitute for care.

Affiliate relationships

Some links may earn Health Atlas a commission at no additional cost to the reader. Affiliate availability does not determine our editorial conclusions, and we will disclose affiliate relationships clearly before a reader clicks through to a seller. Read our Affiliate Disclosure.

Advertising

Advertising helps fund the site, but ads do not determine our editorial conclusions. We aim to keep advertising separate from educational content and do not present advertising as a medical recommendation.
